Meeting of Preparatory Committee for the Foundation of the Croatian Hydrologic Society, induced by Ognjen Bonacci, took place in Zagreb on 17^th of November 1992.

Founding Assembly  was held on 3^rd of December of the same year in Zagreb. Statute of  Society was adopted and Central Committee was elected. Members of  the Central Committee were O. Bonacci (Split) - President, D. Trninić (Zagreb) - Secretary, B. Deduš (Zagreb), B. Grgić (Split), J. Penavić (Zagreb), J. Rubinić (Labin), Z. Tadić (Osijek), V. Tusić (Zagreb), K. Urumović (Zagreb), Z. Vukelić (Zagreb), V. Žabčić (Varaždin), R. Žugaj (Zagreb) and A. Petković (Split).

Today, Croatian Hydrologic Society has 163 members.
